Away from the bustle of Seoul, a church with a sense of tradition stood quietly in Waegwan ; The Waegwan Abbey of St. Benedict, its old architecture carrying a quiet presence that seemed to belong to another time.
When I arrived at Waegwan Station, the clear autumn sky was there to greet me.I hurried across the footbridge at Waegwan Station, the cool autumn breeze passing gently through. The smaller church seemed to be the older of the two. A serene and peaceful space quietly welcomed me.The larger church had a more modern presence, standing quietly beside the older one.On the church grounds, there is a small shop known for its sausages. You can also find freshly baked bread there.Leaving the church, I noticed an old, weathered house nearby. Something about it caught my attention, so I stopped to take a photograph. At Waegwan Market, I could feel the quiet rhythm of everyday life in a provincial town.Instead of taking the train back, I chose the bus, hoping to enjoy a slower journey. Waegwan Bus Terminal had the quiet, familiar feel of a small-town bus station.
